When Artificio posts, it stores a link to the original document against the SAP object. Anyone in SAP — finance, audit, a manager approving a posting — clicks straight through to the exact invoice, order, or note the data came from. What kinds of documents can it handle?
Any business document — invoices, purchase orders, delivery notes, certificates of analysis, HR and vendor forms, contracts, expense receipts, and custom document types. It recognizes the type automatically and maps it to the right SAP object; there are no per-format templates to build.
How does the link to the source document work?
When Artificio creates the SAP object, it stores a link to the original document against it — using your preferred method, such as a GOS attachment, ArchiveLink, or an external content link. Anyone in SAP can open the source with one click, so the document and the transaction stay together.
Does it work with SAP ECC and S/4HANA?
Yes — both, through OData, BAPI, and RFC. The same workflows run across a hybrid landscape and carry forward when you migrate to S/4HANA.
Do we need to train it or build templates per document type?
No. Artificio uses a vision language model that reads documents on day one, guided by the rules you set. There's no model training and no per-format template building, so new document types and layouts work immediately.
Does anything post to SAP without review?
You decide. Clean documents within your rules can post straight through, or you can require approval on any document type. Exceptions always route to the right team, explained, and every action is logged.
Is this a replacement for our document archive / DMS?
It complements it. A DMS stores files; Artificio turns documents into SAP transactions and links the source. It can store the link in your existing archive, so you keep your system of record while eliminating the manual keying between the document and SAP.
Does it require SAP customization or ABAP development?
No. Artificio connects through standard interfaces (OData, BAPI, RFC) with no core changes and no custom ABAP — protecting your clean-core strategy.
